Civil Court denies leniency for PAD injunction
August 29th, 2008 - 10:36 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiThe Civil Court has upheld its temporary injunction against the People’s Alliance for Democracy, calling for the group’s leader’s to move the rally away from the Government House. The court has however accepted the appeal and has scheduled a hearing on the matter 2 weeks from now.
Attorney for the PAD Suwat Apaipak (สุวัตร อภัยภักด) traveled to ask for leniency on the injunction as well as submit an appeal towards the matter. The Civil Court stated that there was insufficient reasoning to allow for leniency and thus upheld the injunction.
