CAT CDMA Shops promote telecommunication business in ASEAN
August 18th, 2008 - 9:38 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Communication Technology Mun Pathnotai (มั่น พัธโนทัย) recently presided over the opening ceremony of CAT CDMA Shop in Chiang Mai. Apart from Chiang Mai, other four telecommunication centers CAT CDMA were unveiled in other four provinces including Khon Kaen (ขอนแก่น), Ubon Ratchathani (อุบลราชธานี), Phuket (ภูเก็ต) and Nakhon Ratchasima (นครราชสีมา) as well.
The launch of CAT CDMA Shops, located in Central Plaza Shopping Mall in Chiang Mai airport and countrywide, aims at promoting Thai telecommunication business both in Thai and in near future in ASEAN market. The five centers will offer high speed internet to support electronic transaction, distanced education, Global Positioning System (GPS) and online entertainments such as games, music, and movies.
CAT CDMA Shops in five centers nationwide will also provide its users with high speed internet of 3.1 Mbps to support 3G software for both general and corporate uses. The project is funded with seven billion baht budget.
