Cabinet approves 390 million baht for forest project in the name of HM the Queen
August 6th, 2008 - 11:08 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiDeputy Spokesman of the Prime Minister’s Office Wirintira Nathongborjaras (วีรินทร์ทิรา นาทองบ่อจรัส) declared that the Cabinet yesterday approved the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to withdraw up to 390 million baht of emergency funding to be used in water and forest conservation project dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her 76th birthday anniversary taking place this August 12th.
The project will seek to plant up to 9,700 rai of new forest and create 5,000 rai of water sourcing dams. An event will be held to present the project from the 10th to the 12th of August.
