The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) gears up for the application of Bangkok governor candidates on September 1st.
BMA Secretary-General Phongsak Semsant (พงศ์ศักติฐ์ เสมสันต์) who is director of Bangkok elections says BMA has rehearsed the real application process and prepared officials, including those from the City Law Enforcement Department and the Bangkok Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. As for concerns that the ongoing political chaos will affect the application day, the secretary-general says the BMA has already prepared measures and 100 security officers to deal with unexpected incidents.
Mr. Phongsak says the BMA will hold a major meeting with the Election Commission to discuss the governor election.
