BKK governor candidate calls for election postponement
September 17th, 2008 - 3:01 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiBangkok Governor Candidate Prapat Chongsanguan says he will request the Election Commission (EC) to postpone the governor election previously scheduled on October 5th as the candidates need more time to campaign.
Mr Prapat, the former governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, states that he will call a press conference today afternoon (September, 17th) with the People Power party’s legal expert Wattana Sengpairoh (วัฒนา เซ่งไพเราะ) to clarify his request for the election postponement.
Mr Prapat has campaigned since this morning at Ratchawat (ราชวัตร) Market, Bang Lamphu (บางลำภู), and Yaowarat (เยาวราช) despite rain showers.
