September 17th, 2008 - 11:19 am ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi

A special meeting of the House of Representatives today set to begin at 9:30 AM has set its priority agenda for the selection and approval of an individual to take the position of Prime Minister. The atmosphere at the meeting today is lively despite a previous meeting last Friday September 12th being cancelled due to not reaching quorum. Leaders of all 6 Coalition parties have made their way to the Parliament to attend the meeting, including Mr. Somchai Wongsawat who is the Coalition pick for the premier post.

Government supporters have begun to arrive at the Parliament House to cheer on the process. Hundreds of security officers and authorities are overlooking the situation underneath and around the parliament.
