Army Chief to request workers at strike to return to work.
September 4th, 2008 - 1:46 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiToday (September, 4th) at 13.30 hrs, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army Gen.Anupong Paochinda, who was assigned by the premier to be in charge of the enforcement of Emergency Decree, will call a meeting to outline a framework to deal with the rally situation and laws which may be used with Emergency Decree.
The meeting, held at the Royal Thai Armed Forces, will be participated by Police Commissioner-General Pol.Gen.Phatcharawat Wongsuwan (พัชรวาท วงษ์สุวรรณ), 1st Army Area Commander Lt.Gen.Prayut Chan-ocha (ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา), and representatives of relevant government units.
The army chief will also attend another meeting at 15.30 hrs with the state enterprise labor unions to request the employees at strike to go back to work.
