Acting premier plans to discuss Thai-Cambodian conflicts

The Acting premier Mr. Somchai Wongsawat has planned to consult with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the issues of Thai-Cambodian border conflicts. Also, he intends to meet with the Bank of Thailand’s Governor and the Finance Minister to discuss about the impact of Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy on Thai economy.

Since yesterday’s evening (September 17th), Mr. Somchai has arranged his residence ready for the Royal Command from His Majesty the King to appoint him as the new PM. The residence has been closely guarded by police officials and surrounded by a large number of journalists ever since.
