August 4th, 2008 - 2:36 pm ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi

Dean of the Faculty of law, Chiang Mai University, Dr.Somchai Preechasilpakul (สมชาย ปรีชาศิลปกุล), states that the 2007 Constitution resurrected a new bureaucratic polity which consists of three main organizations.

According to Dr.Somchai, the new bureaucratic order is different from the old one born after 1957. The three main organizations of the new system include the Senate, independent organizations, and courts of law.

Dr.Somchai adds that the three organizations have the power to control an elected government as seen by cases involving the government. These cases have been systematically presided over by senators who filed complaints with independents organizations such as the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC) and the Election Commission (EC). The NCCC or EC will then submit the results of their investigation to a court of law.
