50 St. Joseph students injured as temple ceiling collapses

Some 50 students of Saint Joseph’s Convent School in Silom of Bangkok yesterday were injured when the sermon hall of Ang Sila (อ่างศิลา) temple in Ang Sila district of Chonburi province collapsed onto them. The students were sent to three hospitals in the area.

The students were currently on field trip when the ceiling of the sermon hall caved in suddenly. Many of the students were trapped under the wooden rubble and were promptly rescued and sent to hospital. No definite injury count was given while the matter is still being investigated.
