Nov 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The gaming industry veterans are of the opinion that the future of console gaming lies in motion sensing and not so much on visual effects. Ever since Nintendo unleashed the Wii fever, gamers from every generation simply cannot have enough of motion sensing games. The war in this nascent segment has heated up with the arrival of the Xbox 360 Kinect of Microsoft. The Redmond based technology giant is banking heavily on the success of this motion sensor based gaming device. It will have to battle it out with the newly released Sony Move controller. In the war between the two behemoths, namely Sony and Microsoft the Wii of Nintendo is losing its fizz to an extent.
The reviewers who have tested both the Sony Move and the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect have said that the latter may win the race in the long run. In the first place, the Kinect is much easier to set up compared to Sony Move. The fact that the Kinect does not need a controller may also go down with a section of players who do not like too many accessories around them while gaming. The Kinect may cost more than the Move but when one wants to play with a friend it outperforms the rival easily.
While the Sony Move requires the player to use his hands, the Kinect requires him to make use of the entire body. It is more interactive in the proper sense of the term. Those who cannot live without social networking, will also appreciate the Kinect’s features over the Sony Move. However, it is too early to predict which device will woo the buyers.
