WTFDec 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The WikiLeaks Task Force has been launched by the CIA to assess the extent of damage done by the revelations made by the whistle blower website. George Little a spokesperson for the CIA said that the panel is led by the Counterintelligence Center of the CIA. The WTF team is going to “examine whether the latest release of WikiLeaks documents might affect the agency’s foreign relationships or operations”. As a matter of fact WikiLeaks did not reveal much document on CIA itself. It has been reported that some of the leaked documents are on the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network better known as SIPRNET, used for sharing classified information among various government branches.

The CIA makes use of software protection to minimize the chances of WikiLeaks-like secret information leak. The majority of PCs in CIA do not support use of external storage devices. The administrators are also warned when large data download is traced. Even then the CIA top honchos are worried after the effect of WikiLeaks revelations. They agreed that the amount of data revealed by the website is not possible by anyone carrying papers.

The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange is out on bail though he is kept under house arrest. The revelation of his website on the leaders of various countries have left the governments literally red faced. Even after facing arrest and criminal proceedings the founder of WikiLeaks has asserted that the work will not come to an end because of the political pressure and media glare on him. It remains to be seen if the Task Force aka WTF finds something new about the the revelations.
