Dec.17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is a bad news for the devotees of the Village Church, known as a mega church which has no less than three campuses. One of its pastors named Matt Chandler has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. He was undergoing treatment for quite some time and the worst fear of the doctors have turned true. The operation performed on the pastor was not totally successful. The doctors said that they could not eliminate the tumor completely owing to its malignant nature.

The devotees of the Village Church’s Flower Mound campus are really sad about this development. What makes the matter graver is the fact that the pastor is not an ailing and disabled septuagenarian who is awaiting his last days. On the contrary, people love the pastor for his charming boyish look and pleasing nature. The death of Oral Roberts who was 91, did not seem unnatural to anyone but the pastor’s situation is totally different.

A lot of devotees are praying for the recovery and well being of Matt Chandler. Meanwhile the village Church is making use of the popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to inform the devotees about the updates on the pastor. The devotees are sad to know that the exhaustive 7 hour surgery failed to remove the cancerous growth totally. A lot of people who are worried about the pastor tried logging in the Church website, leading to an overloaded in turn. So the Village Church posted the updates as a link on the facebook site. It has received several comments so far.
