verizon-iphone New York, Feb 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Verizon has announced that its system was flooded with pre-orders from anxious customers who wanted to have the carrier’s iPhone 4 smartphones.

Pre-orders for existing Verizon customers were opened on Thursday at 3 am EST. Incredibly by 8:10pm EST, the company announced that its first batch have been sold out and that it was not accepting any further orders.

That makes the opening day of iPhone 4 the busiest in the history of Verizon. The carrier has confirmed that in its history, it has not received such a rush on the opening day of any phone’s launch. The company told disappointed customers that they should check back on the 9th day of February at 3:01 am EST for the next batch of orders.

The day was frustrating for some customers of Verizon. They got error messages when they tried to place their pre-order for the phone. Verizon acknowledged the problem. The company’s spokesperson promised that the problem will be resolved.

The company in general saw the experience as a successful one because most of the people that tried to place their order were able to do it.
