Verizon iPhoneJan 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a long wait the iPhone dream of the Verizon network users have proved to be true. The biggest US wireless carrier yesterday announced the launch of the first iPhone that will run on its CDMA network. By the first week of next month the buyers can book the Verizon iPhone and within a few days they will get it in their hands said the company. It is also going to mark the end of AT&T’s exclusive dominance over the device in the USA. The Verizon COO who was present at the much awaited Press conference in NYC yesterday said that the model of iPhone will retain all features of the existing model. Price wise the Verizon iPhone will be on par with AT&T’s offering.

Verizon is yet to announce the data plans for its iPhone. It remains to be seen whether it offers unlimited data plans for the iPhone users which it does for its Android phone users. The USP of the Verizon iPhone 4 is the inclusion of the mobile hot spot using which the users will be able to link with 5 Wi Fi devices at the same time. This is not available in the AT&T model. As expected the iPhone will run on Verizon’s robust 3G network but not on its still expanding 4G LTE network.

There is a possibility that in the later months of the year Apple will launch iPhone 5 and it will also be offered on Verizon’s network in USA. The other US carriers may also get the iPhone. Industry experts point out that T Mobile signed a deal with Apple for selling iPhone in Europe.
