Users Sue Apple For Overheating iPads

Oakland, July 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cupertino based electronics gadget maker Apple Inc is in trouble again this time for its popular Touch screen based Internet access tablet iPad. Some users of the iPad are irate with its performance which according to them is simply unexpected. They cannot use the device in direct sunlight continuously for a period of time and it is making them annoyed. Three such customers who bought the device a few months back have dragged the company to court. John Browning, Claudia Keller and Jacob Balthazar have filed a case against Apple Inc in a federal court in California’s Oakland.
The lawsuit says that Apple has misled the customers with its advertising for the device. As per the lawsuit apple has also violated a string of consumer protection and business law. The lawsuit also lashes out at Apple’s claim that iPad using simulates reading a book. The iPad faced flak after its much hyped launch for a number of reasons. A number of users cried foul about the lack of support for flash which is common with many Apple gadgets. The device shuts down when it get overheated and it has been reported by many users. The device also faces problem in accessing Wi Fi under certain situations.
However, the instruction manual of the device indicates that at temperatures above 95F it may not work properly. Apple is yet to react to the lawsuit. However, iPad is still selling in record numbers irrespective of the lawsuit and criticism from some users. Some tech sites are speculating if Apple would release a patch for solving this problem or not.
