Twitter Down again
August 12th, 2009 - 2:15 am ICT by John Le Fevre
Microblogging site Twitter was offline again today, August 11, only days after recovering from a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.
Last week the popular microblogging platform that people use to send 140-character messages to friends and colleges around the world crashed at about 6am PST (1pm UTC) without warning.
The company thought it had recovered from the initial DDoS attack but today, without explanation, the site was again offline from about midday PST (1900UTC).
On it’s status site Twitter said the company was “working to recover from a site outage and will update as we learn more”.
Tens of thousands of people around the world use Twitter to exchange information concerning their work and leisure activities with friends and colleges.
