toshiba-notebook-recalled220x161Canada, Sep 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a recent development Toshiba one of the reputed laptop makers is recalling almost 41000 laptop models from the market. The recall is being caused by overheating problems. The company has got nearly 100 complaints of the users receiving minor injuries and the case melting from excessive heating. This once again highlights what can happen when so many small electronic components are crammed into a small enclosure. A bulletin published by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission states that the Japanese company is recalling the models- Satellite ProT130, Satellite T135D and Satellite T135. As per the report the plug in location of these models near the AC adapter can get overheated and the users may suffer burn injury in certain cases.

The Toshiba recall which is being caused by over hearing problem is nothing new or exceptional in the laptop industry. Back in July Sony recalled almost half million Vaio laptop models. Before the Sony recall HP also recalled the batteries of its laptop models. The recall brings to the mind the lack of quality check during the manufacturing process. The recalled laptops were sold to the customers in August last year. The laptops were sold in Canada and USA. This is quite alarming because the Toshiba Satellite ranges of laptops are quite reliable and the company did not have to resort to such measures earlier.

The other models in the satellite range have not been affected by the recall. This is the reason leading chip manufacturers AMD and Intel are coming up with CPUs that run cooler and do not generate much heat.
