Social networking website Twitter online after brief outage
March 18th, 2010 - 1:37 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )SAN FRANCISCO (BNO NEWS) — The popular social networking website Twitter went briefly offline on Wednesday evening. The cause was not immediately released.
The outage began at 11.03 p.m. EDT (8.03 p.m. PDT) and lasted about 25 minutes. “Twitter is over capacity,” a message read as the site was offline.
A post on the company’s status blog said it was investigating the problem. “We’re investigating a general site outage since about 8:03pm PDT,” it said, without providing more details on the cause.
After the outage, it apologized for the interruption. “We’re now recovering from this unplanned downtime. We apologize for the interruption in service.”
