New York City, Nov 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reports indicate that Samsung has set November 8 as the date for the launch of its highly anticipated Nexus 2 phone. If the phone is released, it will be the first phone that runs on the new version of the Android Operating System. The new rumor which are carried on several technology blogs and site are fueled by reports that Samsung is planning to hold a press conference on November 8 to reveal a “development associated with the Android”.

The Nexus 2 is highly anticipated since the launch of Nexus 1 in January. The Nexus paled in comparison with the iPhone on the market. However the new reports suggest that the Nexus 2 will be completely different from the Nexus in design. The website, Gizmodo.com revealed that the phone was real and reported that a source to the website has seen the phone and described it as “black and shiny with a 4inch screen and apparently thinner than the Galaxy”.

There was no confirmation of the report. Google failed to address the report either and only released the following statement, “we do not deal in rumors and speculations”. That means there is nothing concrete but let’s wait and see if the Nexus 2 will finally be out on the said date.
