Washington, Feb 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Samsung’s latest device Galaxy Tab 7.7 will go on sale from the 1st of March 2012. Carrier Verizon announced on Tuesday that the tablet will be sold for $500 when it is released on Thursday.

Verizon announced that customers can walk into their sale outlets and buy some the product. By its dimension, the Tab 7.7 device will become the tiniest tablet currently being offered on the market.

As it is the convention of Samsung’s naming convention for its tablet machines, the 7.7 represents the screen size in inches when the device is measured diagonally. The device runs on Google’s Android operating system and offers customers the luxury of using the 4G LTE internet connection capability.

The screen of the Tab 7.7 device offers an exceptional resolution mainly due to its 1280 x 800 pixels. The Tab 7.7 seems to be a better machine when compared to Apple’s iPad 2.

Never to be outdone, Apple may release their iPad 2 device in March. As it is the culture of the company, Apple has zealously guarded the specifications of the new device and there has been no confirmation on when it will be launched.

Apple is the market leader in the tablet world.
