Feb 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rumors have been soaring all over the Internet that there was to be a new Facebook phone created, despite denials from Facebook and smart phone manufacturers, but a new announcement from Mark Zuckerberg himself seems to imply that the rumors are becoming reality.

Although it is not called a “Facebook phone” per se, there are going to be dozens of devices such as the ‘HTC ChaCha’ and the ‘Salsa’ which will focus much more on Facebook, adding dedicated buttons for the social network.

In a statement which was recorded and then presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona for the press conference for ‘HTC”, Zuckerberg clarified things a bit, “A lot’s been made about a single Facebook phone,” he said, “but this year you can expect to see dozens of phones with much deeper social integration than anything we’ve seen so far.”

Phones from HTC are run off the Android OS, and will simply have a button which will take you directly to Facebook. INQ, which is a British smart phone manufacturer is also reported to be making a phone that is integrated with the social networking site. This phone is scheduled to be in stores in the UK this Spring, and in the United States by the Fall, and will be called the INQ Cloud Touch.
