Roshni Nadar Appointed As The New CEO Of HCL Group

HCL group took a brave step forward as they made Ms.Roshni Nadar, daughter of HCL founder Mr. Shiv Nadar, the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of HCL Corporation. This step marks the first move of the company towards the ‘generation next’ transition.
Mr.Nadar will continue to head the organization which is the investment company, with controlling stakes in HCL Infosystems and HCL Technologies. The position of the Executive Director and CEO was previously headed by Mr.Nadar.
As the new Chief Executive Officer of HCL, Ms. Nadar will be responsible for every strategic decision making at HCL corporation, says a company release. Corporate Vice President of HCL Technologies Limited, Mr. Saurav Adhikari said that Ms.Roshni Nadar is involved only in the investment company HCL Corporation. He declared that she is not involved with HCL Infosytems nor with HCL Technologies.
Ms.Roshni is a trustee of the Shiv Nadar foundation which was established by the non-for-profit SNN Engineering College in Chennai. Ms.Roshni has done her MBA in Social Enterprise Management and Strategy from Kellogg Graduate School Of Management. She is also actively involved in the company’s brand building. She has been involved with HCL corporation since her return from U.S. The move marks a new era in the HCL group. It is certainly clear that the group has shifted it’s focus to the ‘fresh blood’ of the industry.
HCL Corporation holds nearly 50 per cent in HCL Technologies, which has recorded revenues of about Rs 7,640 crore for the year ended June 2008.
