Quicken To Offer DiscountsJune 19th, 2009 - 2:55 am ICT by GD
People who have been using the Microsoft Money finally have some relief in the form of Quicken, which is soon coming their way. Bad news from the Microsoft camp has been dodging the Microsoft Money users for quite some time now, with Microsoft declaring that they will be discontinuing their product.
The makers of Quicken, Intuit, have announced in this tense and stressful situation for Microsoft Money users, that they will be offering a discount of up to $ 50 for them. Earlier in the month, Microsoft had announced that they will be stopping the sale of all downloads from 30th June.
As of now, Quicken is the biggest name in the market for users who want to download their financial information, rather than having it saved on a remote server. Nevertheless, it is the only name which is offering the benefits that were previously offered by Microsoft. A host of other such names have popped up in the arena in an attempt to help users as well as cash in on the vacancy that is going to be created.
The aim of Intuit is to lure in more and more users to use its Quicken personal finance product. Redmond’s decision to discontinue the use of Microsoft Money has led many users to make a bee line for the Intuit products. The attractive discounts are going to be an added bonus, which might help in pulling the disarrayed users and shift their focus to Quicken.
The Intuit website reads out posts which announce that they will be offering the discounts on the Quicken products till the end of July. The good news is that the offers are not only going to be limited to the Money users, it will be open to others as well.
