PS3 Update Adds 3D Blu-Ray Support, Users Are Excited

playstation3_tournamentsSep 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sony is all set to revamp its flagship gaming console PS3 with cutting edge features that will give it an edge over rivals like Microsoft and Nintendo. Two months back the industry buzz was that Sony will add 3D Blu-Ray support to PS3 and this will be done by means of a firmware update. In a latest development that has taken the technology and gaming industry by storm Sony has released firmware version 3.50 which offers the support for 3D Blu Ray. With this update installed in their devices the millions of PS3 owners will now be able to see their favorite Blue Ray Titles in full resolution. Some sources reported that support for popular social networking services has also been added in the latest firmware update.

Some technology and gadget review sites have tested the PS3 update already and said that it is as good as it sounds. The HDMI port needs to be set to auto mode and thereafter it will detect he 3D TV without any hiccup. The firmware is ready for download and the user have possibly started downloading it in their devices. The users may face some initial troubles owing to the fact not every 3DTVs have identical features. However, the issues would not be major. Sony may have to release a patch.

This is indeed a major update for the gaming console and it is likely to boost it sales in the coming days. Not many rival products support this feature provided by PS3 update 3.50. The entertainment value of the device will go up substantially after installing this update.
