Rumor mills have been working very hard over a considerable period of time regarding the PS3 Slim; on it’s prices, looks, design and other attributes. PS3 stands for PlayStaion3, a hugely popular gaming console from Sony.

Different types of media have come out with varied kinds of reports in this context and sometimes there have been conflicting ones also. For example, no one knows for sure how the PS3 Slim would look like actually. Reportedly one Chinese magazine has recently published a story which claims to consist of some insider’s scoop and pictures of the PS3 Slim. Sony, the manufacturer of the PS3 gaming console has conspicuously abstained from coming out with any statement regarding this.

In fact serious doubts still prevail in some sections about the PS3 Slim’s existence. On the other hand some internet based gaming and technology magazines have claimed that they have even accessed the possible tentative launch date of the PS3 Slim through their own exclusive sources. They are also claiming that the PS3 Slim is going to be considerably cheaper than the available models in the market by at least 100 Euros. Some sources have even claimed that the PS3 Slim would be a ‘limited edition’ model; if this is true then connoisseurs of gaming and PS3 fans won’t really be much pleased. The internet is abuzz with various views and so called ‘reports’ on the PS3 Slim.

Some of PS3’s rivals are the XBox 360 from Microsoft and Wii which is manufactured by Nintendo. This series [series-3] of the PlayStation gaming console made it’s debut in November 2006 in Japan.
