Paul Allen Undergoing Chemotherapy For ‘Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma’

Seattle, Nov. 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 56 year old Paul Allen who jointly founded the Microsoft Corporation with Bill Gates has been recently diagnosed with a cancer, precisely ‘non-Hodgkins lymphoma’ that affects white blood cells. Sources stated that Mr. Allen has started to undergo chemotherapy to recover from this disease but has not any plan to stop his works. Earlier, he was affected by Hodgkin’s disease, which ended his career with the Microsoft Corporation. He is a strong person and after recovering from the diseases once again became busy with his profession.
The news of John Allen’s illness is quite disappointing for his friends and family members yet they believe that Mr. Allen who had successfully recovered from Hodgkin’s disease would be able to fight this disease too. It has been stated by the sources that Mr. Allen though is careful about his treatment has not stopped his regular activities for his illness and will take care of all his responsibilities at Vulcan. The report also stated that he will not let his illness cut short his professional life.
Paul Allen who has turned up as a great businessman after leaving Microsoft Corporation has received “32nd wealthiest person” ranking from Forbes Magazine this year. It has been quite disappointing that he is affected by a disease which has survival rate of only five years. Yet, proper treatment can increase the chances of survival. The billionaire has made several assets that also includes Charter Communications, Vulcan and several start ups. His assets also include the ownership of Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers, two popular sports team of the country.
