May 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Google the search giant has a tendency of changing its logo to certain signs and logos to commemorate the birthdays and anniversary. It is commonly called Google Doodles. Yesterday the web users were amused and happy to see that Google changed its static logo to an animated an interactive doodle. The funny thing is that the doodle is based on the iconic game of the 1980s named Pac Man. The interesting thing is that the users were allowed to play the game on the Google Home page. The doodle was put in by Google to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the game. A lot of adults remember the game fondly and the time when it was their companion.
When desktop computing was in its initial stage, Pac Man proved to be immensely successful and it was available on the Nintendo gaming consoles. Over the years the gaming industry changed drastically and the revolution in personal computing changed the way people play games. However, the game never lost its popularity and it is considered as a classic console game. The users tried playing on the Google home page yesterday and they could do it easily except those who use Apple Safari browser. It brought back the memory of the days of good old arcade games.
However, the doodle will not stay for a long time ad Google changes the doodles shortly after unveiling them on the web. The Google home page presents the game almost as it was in its original avatar. The doodle was interactive possibly for the first time in the history of Google.
