operation-chokeholdDec. 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘Operation Chokehold’ that was published by Fake Steve Jobs blog to satirize AT&T’s services and asked iphone users to revolt against the company, has gained huge momentum in a short while. To curb the popularity of the blog, AT&T professionals have criticized the blog and pointed it as an effort of increasing site traffic yet they could not change the mind of people who were influenced by it.

Friday afternoon, numerous iphone users executed the plan of jamming the network of the company and collapsed it completely. According to reports, as planned, the iphone users, operated their ‘data intensive application’ for collapsing the server of the company. Though a large number of consumers, who are not satisfied with the services of the company, protested against the company on Friday, ‘operation chokehold’ was not considered to be complete success as the officials of the company did not pay much attention to it.

The officials of the company when contacted by the media said that they did not find any significant disturbance of their services for the protest made by the iphone users. Not only the company officials but also several users did not experience any problem during the time of protest. However, a large number of people have opposed these reports and claimed ‘operation chokehold‘ to be a success. Some of the popular social networking sites also considered the protest of the iphone users to be a success and has delivered a message to the company that they were not happy with the service level of the company. Whether ‘operation chokehold’ was a success or not, AT&T is expected to develop their services in the wake of such protest.
