London, May 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The National Farm Trust in the United Kingdom is bringing real-time farming on the Internet. With an annual subscription fee of £30, the subscribers will have the opportunity to comment on how the farm should be run.

The project is available on the Internet as MyFarm. The actual farm though is the Wimpole Home Farm which is located in Cambridgeshire. There are currently 10,000 subscribers who have signed up for the project. The subscribers will get to make critical decisions regarding how the farm should be managed. They will also have a say on what animals should be reared and the plants that should be grown at the farm.

The farm is about 1,200 acres and it has breeds of cattle, poultry and sheep which are considered rare. The National Farm Trust says the program has so far proved to be commercially sustainable. They expect their subscribers to make 12 major decisions regarding the farm every month.

Subscribers will be given the opportunity to visit the farm with their family. They can also keep track of the farm activities on the Internet through the project’s website. The National Trust Farm currently owns about 200,000 hectares of farm in the United Kingdom and they are considered the biggest farmer in the country.
