NYT to come out with a best seller list for e-books

New York, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a strong sign that e-books are now having more share of book selling market, New York Times has announced that it will come up with its list of best selling books next year.

The company announced that it is in the process of validating the sales and will come up with the figures next year. New York Times has been releasing “The New York Times Best Seller List” since 1935 and the addition of the e-book version lays credence to the fact that e-books have become an important part in the way people are gathering information.

The company announced that sales of e-books will be collected from online e-book sellers and the figures will be verified before being ranked to ensure that the list is credible. The company will also be collected the sales of e-books from other sources and will partner RoyaltyShare to ensure that the figures are all accurate.

The company announced in a statement that the list which will be available form 2011 upwards will be presented both in print and on the Internet. That means if you can’t get a copy of the New York Times, you can check the Internet and get the full list.
