News Corps’ iPad Only Paper ‘The Daily’ Launches Wednesday
January 29th, 2011 - 12:34 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJan 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Daily iPad only newspaper has been a much anticipated app which is reported to be launching next Wednesday, according to the New York Times. The official announcement is set to come during an event which will be held at the Guggenheim Museum located in New York.
Jeremy Peters of the New York Times reports that Apples vice president of Internet Services, whose name is Eddy Cue, will be at the event. Many are hoping that this news means that ‘The Daily’ app will also feature iTunes subscription billing and other application billing as well.
Although it was first thought that a paid app for news sites would never profit, since it is so easy to read the news for free online, it is now that that the smoothness of apps will win out over the sometimes aggravating web experience from the iPad.
