New iPod Nano Gets TouchScreen, Ditches Video Camera

nanoxSep 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The anticipation of the Apple fanatics has come to an end b now as the Cupertino based giant has unveiled the latest lineup of its media player, namely the iPod. As expected Apple has given the popular iPod Nano a drastic makeover and it has got a tiny sized Touchscreen. The device now comes without any button barring a sleep/wake button and volume control switches. The OS may be similar to iOS but actually it is a different application. The company says that the battery will run for 24 hours on a single recharge. While the sixth generation iPod Nano has FM player it has ditched the video camera the 5th incarnation had. It actually resembles the iPod shuffle in dimension and will be made available in two sizes- 8 and 16 GB.

The new iPod Nano has got accolades for its uber cool looks and features but some of the Apple fans are miffed about the exclusion of the camera that was present in the previous device. The new iPod Nano is incredibly light at just 22 gms. Most of the users would not even notice its weight! The familiar click wheel is also not present in the new model. The 1.5 inch TFT Touch screen of the Nano has a 240×240 resolution. There is a clip at the back of the device so that the users can attach it with their dresses much like the smaller iPod Shuffle.

The device will be shipped in 7 exciting hues. The new device has also done away with the click wheels games that got many followers.
