Netflix outage frustrates subscribers

New York, June 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Sunday night, Netflix’s services were disrupted leaving millions of subscribers frustrated. It was after hours that some of the service came back online. The company made an announcement on Monday revealing that they were having some challenges getting their devices to be made available online.

The company explained that the shutdown was due to technical problems that they said have been fixed. Some people are concerned that the disruption might be due to cyber attack. Some subscribers were concerned that their data might have been compromised if there have been a malicious attack.

There were reports that the hacker group LulzSec might have been responsible for the attack. The company has denied that and pinned it to device and technical failures. This is not the first time that the service has suffered disruption. There have been previous outages in the past and Netflix had taken responsibility for the problem and dully credited their subscribers who were affected.

Services including media streaming and DVD orders were affected by the outage. The disruption sent frustrated subscribers to complain on the miniblogging site Twitter. There were complaints from subscribers on Facebook and other media networks as well.

Some services have been restored and the company assured that the remaining services will be available online soon.
