August 12, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): If the social networking and online dating site OkCupid is to be believed then an iPhone is definitely proportional to the number of lovers that you can get. How? Well, it had conducted a poll which resulted in 9,785 people especially smartphone owners finding out that the possessors of the iPhone actually do have an increased number of sex partners vis-à-vis any other smart phone owners. The story of this surprising and rather unscientific study had been reported by the CNET.

OkCupid prides itself on being the best dating site on Earth. It is also famous for holding random polls on anything and everything under the sun. This particular result was revealed when the site decided to conduct a survey on photography. The outcome was strangely confined to two things, the kind of phone that one had and the number of sex partners.

The results further reveal that the Blackberry owners can be expected to come in second while the owners of the Androids currently languish in the third spot.

The poll results were also categorized gender wise. The Female iPhone owners had the good fortune of having 12.3 partners while the figure dropped down to 8.8 for the Blackberry. The Android users of the fair sex, on the other hand, found it difficult to keep pace as they only had a 6.1 to show for it. For the males, the story wasn’t altogether very different either. The iPhone users reached the magic figure of ten while the Blackberry users and Androids had to be satisfied with 8.1 and six respectively.

This surely must be a wrong number for them!
