Monster to acquire Yahoo’s HotJobs
February 4th, 2010 - 3:51 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )NEW YORK (BNO News) – Monster Worldwide, Inc. will acquire the assets of Yahoo! HotJobs, which is an online recruitment website, for $225 million in cash, Yahoo! said Wednesday.
As part of the acquisition, Monster and Yahoo! entered into a 3 year commercial traffic agreement, in which Monster will provide Yahoo! with career and job content on their homepage in the U.S. and Canada.
After closing the deal, Monster will have exclusive right in negotiating similar traffic agreements with Yahoo! properties that would include countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America, Yahoo! added.
Monster considers this acquisition will benefit users with an increase in job matches and search efficiencies as well as an expansion of job postings.
