Mobile Manufacturers Hiding Health Risk Warnings?

Oct 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Health activists are nowadays pointing fingers at the top mobile handset manufacturers of deliberately hiding the risks associated with phone usage. Some of the accusations leveled by the health experts are rather shocking and may sound incredible to people without proper knowledge. iPhone which is possibly the most popular smart phone in the world should be kept at least 15mm away from the user’s body but very few people get to know about this warning. Another shocker is that the Blackberry smart-phone preferred by the corporate users across the world are not safe. RIM’s popular smart-phone also should be kept an inch away from body when a user makes or receives a call. A manual that comes with the phone does mention this but most of the users miss it.
The smart phones also poses significant health risk for the teenagers and pregnant women in case they are taken close to the lower abdomen. The warnings are published in the user manuals of the phone in small texts and hence most of the users miss the points. Now, the health activists and politicians are saying that the companies should publish the warnings in a legible manner. The risk are not limited to Apple or Blackberry but similar models from all manufactures are harmful if they are used in a certain way.
The radio frequency emitted by the mobile phones may heat up the tissues in human body. The antenna of the phone is the most dangerous part in this aspect, the researchers have said. The revelations are sure to shock the average users.
