If you have been waiting for a new age music and web console then your wait is finally over! Microsoft is introducing its all new and innovative media playback console called Zune HD. This gizmo is a comprehensive machine that can play your favorite movies, store an unending collection of songs, pick up radio feeds from across the globe and provide you with the perfect platform to merge and enjoy all your entertainment options. Zune HD is a sleek and state-of-the-art media platform, somewhat similar to the PlayStation by Sony- which can directly transfer video and audio to the television. However, the Zune HD is even better than PlayStation because it can support high definition video streaming.

According to the official sources from Microsoft, Zune HD is fully compatible with Apple’s iPod. This is great news for the millions of iPod users who want to add something more to their machines. The Zune HD also has a cool OLED touchscreen for easy navigation between the various media options available in it. But a major question that most experts and gamers are asking is whether the Zune HD will support their top video games. The authorities at Microsoft have not yet divulged whether this newest console can add the gaming vertical to its media repertoire. If the Zune HD is also a viable gaming platform, then its appeal will undoubtedly increase manifold.

Microsoft is avoiding more information on the gaming capabilities of the machine. This is perhaps because it does not want to join the over-crowded space of gaming machines presented at Electronic Entertainment Expo next week. In reality, the Zune HD might have some gaming functions, albeit in a limited manner.
