Mark Zuckerberg & Dustin Moskovitz pledge half of their fortunes to charity

New York, Dec 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The co-founders of the popular social networking site Facebook – Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz have pledged half of their fortunes to charity. They are following in the footsteps of many other wealthy people who are donating their wealth to charity. Both of them have signed for ‘The Giving Pledge’, which is a philanthropic mission that was started by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.

It is a very notable mission in which the wealthy sign up and promise to give away half of their wealth after their demise or whenever they feel like, when they are alive.

The Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that, “People wait until late in their career to give back. But why wait when there is so much to be done? With a generation of younger folks who have thrived on the success of their companies, there is a big opportunity for many of us to give back earlier in our lifetime and see the impact of our philanthropic efforts.” It ought to be mentioned that more than 50 billionaires have so far promised to share their wealth as part of this notable mission. And amongst all of them, Mark and Dustin are the youngest ones.
