Hollywood, Nov 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Several media reports suggest that Hollywood star George Clooney is being considered to play the role of Steve Jobs in an upcoming movie about the life of the late Apple founder. Jobs died last month at the age of 56 years after long struggle with pancreatic cancer.

50-year-old Clooney is not the only person being considered for the role, the reports say. Noah Wyle, who played Jobs in the 1999 movie Pirates of Silicon Valley, is also rumored to be in contention for the role.

The 40-year-old recently told Fortune magazine that he met the former Apple brainer after the 1999 movie. He told the magazine that the meeting was at the 1999 Macworld Expo. He recalled that,” He (Jobs) took his napkin and started sketching out the schematics and he passed the napkin around the table…I thought to myself, ‘I got to take that napkin’ and my hand was on it, but Steve called from the door and asked, ‘Noah, you want to share a cab with me?’ So I put the napkin down. I could have had an Edison original.”

Clooney has played along with Wyle before. The two played the roles of doctors in the hit television show ER. The show picked 23 Emmy Awards between 1994 and 2009.
