iPad to go on sale in nine more countries this Friday

CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) — Apple on Monday announced that the popular iPad will be available in nine more countries starting this Friday.

Apple fans from Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore will be able to buy the iPad later this week through Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.

The iPad allows users to connect and browse the web through its famous touch screen interface, read and send email, enjoy and share multimedia like photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks, among other things.

The iPad is currently available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States for prices ranging from $499 to $829, depending on the specifications of the model, as the company plans to sell their most recent product in more countries later this year.

Apple is hoping to match its popularity in other countries after it announced reaching 3 million iPad sales 80 days after the product was released.
