IE 9 Public Beta Ready For Release, But Can It Beat Google Chrome?

vsAug 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The web browser war is going to get more intense with time and a major showdown is expected in September. A special event named Beauty of the Web is going to be held at San Francisco which will be crucial for the web browser makers. At this much anticipated event Microsoft will unveil the first public beta version of Internet explorer 9 its upcoming browser. As everyone knows the market share of Internet Explorer has been on the decline in the last few years and rivals like Firefox and Chrome has be making dent in its market slowly and steadily. Microsoft, the Redmond based software giant is counting heavily on the success of IE9 and it hopes it will help the company to woo back the users who have migrated to other alternatives.

However, Google is not going to be left behind and the recently released Chrome 6 beta has got thumb up from the web experts. Recently Google also fixed some vital security issue and flaws in its Chrome browser version 5. The user percentage of Chrome may be small compared to that of IE but in the last two years it has made progress by leaps and bounds. It now has a share of 6 percent. Microsoft got good review for IE8 but Chrome and other rivals managed to exceed it both in features and speed. Microsoft is of the opinion that IE9 will offer improved speed and stability compared to its predecessors.

The new browser from the stable of Microsoft comes with new Chakra JavaScript engine. However, user interface is an area where Chrome may outperform IE.
