tereOct 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) When Samsung has embarked on the Windows 7 phone scene can HTC be far behind? The Taiwanese handset maker which is known for making high end smart phones have announced its upcoming handset running Windows 7 which has been named HTC 7 Surround. It has a slide out system unlike the Samsung Focus but the slider is not meant for a QWERTY keypad. On the other hand the slider comes with sliding speaker. It is possibly the most multimedia rich Windows 7 phone that is going to hit the stores in near future.

The phone will be released in the USA by AT & T as it has been announced. The speakers have Dolby Digital enhancements and will be appreciated by the gadget freaks who can never have enough of features on their phones! The screen is 3.8 inch wide. The inbuilt memory is 16GB which should be adequate for most of the users. At the back there is a decent 5 MP camera. There is a kickstand at the bottom of the phone which lets the user view movies in it when he is in a car or airplane. As per the agreement with Microsoft HTC has added Hub a really visually appealing widget in this model. The widget is useful and offers a number of neat features that will woo the users.

The phone is targeted clearly at the users who need more media features rather than business features. Of course the standard Windows 7 phone features are there in it. The phone also looks aesthetic and stylish. It is priced at $200 similar to the Samsung Focus.
