Halo: Reach Launch Brings Cheers For Microsoft

outside12London, Sep 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Halo Reach launch event as expected turned out to be a spectacular affair and hundreds of avid gamers thronged the venue and waited patiently for the chance to get their copies. In the meantime the Halo game addicts in London got a surprise treat in the morning on Monday as Microsoft had sent a jet-pack pilot dressed as a game character. The man dressed as a spartan attracted attention of the passers by and some people even took his snap out of curiosity. The video of the man flying around is now available in the web.

Halo 3 which was launched three years back turned out to be a best seller and the gaming industry veterans are of the opinion that the newest version developed by Bungie Studio will repeat the success story of the earlier release. The game Halo: Reach is a prequel built on the storyline of alien human conflict. The beta of the game made the gamers hugely interested.

Last night Halo Reach was released in 25 countries as per the latest news. The release of the game has triggered a fierce price war in the supermarket chains in the UK with each trying to offer the title at a cheaper rate than the others. The critics have given the game largely positive reviews. The excitement of the Halo Fans was palpable as the queued up outside the stores prior to the midnight launch. Halo 3 used to be a bestseller in many countries in the console game segment until Call of Duty stole its thunder. Halo Reach may give the franchisee back its numero uno position.
