The latest buzz in the web that is doing the round is that the World Wide Web or internet as it is popularly called may not remain free of control. The main reason for such a move is that the governments in various countries have become worried about the huge rate of malware or spyware infection haunting the personal and corporate users. However, such a move may not go down well with each user and the thought of coping with government rules and procedures every time one wants to get online is not acceptable to all.
As a matter of fact the Redmond based software and technology giant Microsoft is behind this proposal and the issue was raised for the first time by a security expert. The name of that security officer is Scott Charney. The officer made it clear that government espionage will prevent the malicious users from harming others. He placed an elaborate proposal to elucidate how infection can be prevented once the regulation over the web is implemented. The hackers are increasingly targeting the users through email and social networking sites of late.
He also said for the implementation of this proposal the unified effort of the corporate giants and government needs to be put into place. It is not clear whether such a proposal would be put into place given the fact that the internet needs to be used by millions of people and keeping tab on the lot would prove to be a cumbersome and near impossible task. The technology industry is yet to react to the proposal. However, the news has created a buzz among the users at large.
