google-in-new-york-005 New York, Sep 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Google has an entirely new problem on their hands – bedbugs.

The bugs are moving fast into the homes of most Americans. But it seems the blood-sucking insects are not satisfied with occupying the homes only. There have been reports of the bugs moving into offices including those of multi-billion companies.

An employee of the search giant Google at New York recently tweeted on the popular social networking and microblogging site Twitter that the office and its occupants are not immune to the bugs, adding that the insects have been found at the office. Though the tweet has been removed along with the account of the employee, Google has admitted that they have discovered the insect in a small portion of their New York office and have dully informed the workers. But the company added that they are taken steps to “treat” the infected areas.

The bugs have become a headache for New Yorkers. The governor of New York recently signed into law a legislation that requires landlords and landladies to submit a history of bedbug infestation for the previous years, before they can rent or lease the property.

Schools in New York are also required to inform the families of their students about any bedbug infestation that they notice.
