Google Nexus One Mountain View, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Google is expected to launch its Nexus One phone today. The main features of the Nexus One are its thin shape, 4GB or memory, 3G access, and USB access for downloading. There are hints that the phone is only available to T-Mobile customers, but at the same time, rumors are also ripe that AT&T is also interested in a deal with Google.

Another major news is that besides the worldwide release of the Nexus One, Google is looking to venture into the netbook industry. Not many details are available about the Netbook, but what is definitely known for sure is that the system will run by a patented Google Chrome Operating System.

Several reports suggest that the Nexus One will be available on the telecom major T-Mobile for a price specially subsidized for the carrier. However reports suggest that the customers will have the choice of buying the phone directly from Google for a premium price and port the phone to the carrier of their choice. “If enough customers want this phone, the carriers will have no choice but to follow,” technology analyst Rob Enderle told the Associated Press.

Gizmodo reports, that Google is thinking about selling the handset on its own, and that an unlocked version of the phone will be made available for US$530 (£330). The phone’s sole subsidized contract provider will be T-Mobile in the US. And this partnership will bring the hardware cost down to US$180 (£110), but the handset will be only available at a two-year agreement of US$80 (£50) per month, according to sources.
