Google launches the Nexus One phone

Google Nexus One Mountain View, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There was a huge buzz about the Nexus One and Google launched it with ample fanfare this morning. The Google VP Mario Queiroz officially unveiled the Nexus One smart phone. He called it in the category of a ‘super phone’. The HTC CEO Peter Chou was also present at the event and he also spoke about the great characteristics of the phone in the hugely anticipated launch-event.

HTC CEO Peter Chou said that the Nexus One features a strong industrial design, its uses a 1 GHz Qualcomm (QCOM) Snapdragon processor. The phone has 3.75 OLED display, which offers a rich display. The processor allows a really fast experience. There’s a trackball for navigation, but also serves as notification tool, with LED light under the trackball. It also includes the compass, GPS, accelerometer, also light and proximity sensors. Proximity sensor prevents accidental touches of the keyboard when held up to your ear. It takes very high-resolution images and videos

A new great feature for Android on this phone is the active noise cancellation. The contact points enable inline remotes and mics. And there is inline noise cancellation, there are two mics, front and back, which enable nose suppression. And it also has custom engraving on the lower bezel. It is 22.5mm thick, weighs 130g, and has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. It also has a 3.7-inch AMOLED display and 1GHz Snapdragon.

It is also voice-enabled, so that whatever you speak, gets written on the phone.
