025Mountain View, July 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If you haven’t noticed, the image search in Google have started to appear a little different from today. The Internet monarch has come up with the idea of introducing a brand new ad format type for all online advertisers. The advertisers shall now be able to post their advertisement in the form of an thumbnail image which shall also carry the text for the advertisement. Both the thumbnail image and the text will be pulled up when one searches images in Google.

Image Search Ads as it is called shall now make it’s appearance only on Google Image Search. However, Google’s director of search products Ben Ling informed the media that the company is looking out for other ways which shall give them a chance to adopt the same for other applications. It’s understandable that Google is walking all avenues that would pull the maximum revenue from online advertisers. Similar to the text ads on Google, the image ads will be marked as sponsored links. Google is also said to be working on Google Images which shall soon witness a change in it’s design and structure. The newly designed interface shall go live by the end of the current week and shall be decked up with a “hover panepop-up window”. This shall help the users get a larger glimpse of the image from it’s thumbnail. The redesigned interface is also said to be three times faster than the current image search interface.

Year 2010 hasn’t been very promising for Google in terms of share earnings and revenues. Google shares are currently down by a rate margin of 25 percent which the company wants to recover by any necessary means.
