Sep 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A new search enhancement tool is has been released from Google which will give people results as they type, as opposed to waiting until complete words and search terms have been entered. “Google Instant” is said to be designed to imagine the future of the user’s search terms and give the proposed choices automatically.

The new technology will instantly take what you have typed, and predict what will most likely be the terms you are searching for. The results will then be streamed in real time for the user to choose from. The end result is said to be “ a smarter and faster search engine that is interactive, predictive, and powerful,” according to Marissa Mayer, who is the VP of Search Products & User Experience at Google.

As a user types their query into a Google Instant search bar, Google will instantly display relevant search results, while the user is still typing so that the user can interact and quickly find the web content which they need. As the user types, Google will predict the rest of the search terms in light gray text, and if the subject which the user needs is displayed before they finish typing, the user can stop typing, and click the choice, or scroll through the choices for the most relevant.

The most obvious purpose of Google Instant is to save time. Testing of the technology shows that the average user can save two to five seconds per search, which can in turn save Google users 11 hours per second collectively.

Google Instant will become the core search engine for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and IE8. Users in France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the UK will also have access to Google Instant is they are signed into instant capable browsers, and it will be available to all locations and platforms soon.
